Urii Eliseev with a Perfect Result Is Leading in the Moscow Open Men’s Cup of Russia Stage

The participants of the main tournaments of the 12th International RSSU Cup – 2016 Moscow Open Cup of Russia stages have to play only three rounds more. After six game days Muscovite Urii Eliseev with a 100% result is the only leader in the men’s competitions. Today he defeated Vladislav Artemiev from Omsk in the game of the respective round.

The leader is followed by Anton Korobov (Ukraine), Artyom Timofeev (Kazan) and the winner of the last tournament Ernesto Inarkiev (Moscow). All of them scored 5,5 points.

Anastasia Bodnaruk (St. Petersburg) and Lilit Galojan (Armenia) are now leading in the Women’s Cup of Russia stage. Both scored 5,5 points. In this round the player from St. Petersburg outran the young Muscovite Alexandra Obolentseva, who was the only leader before. Alexandra Obolentseva (Moscow), Swaminathan Soumya (India), Baira Kovanova (Elista) and Veronika Schneider (Austria) scored 5 points.

Anatoliy Kremenetsky with 5,5 points is the only leader of the Veterans’ tournament. Nine chess players are half a step behind the Moscow grandmaster, titled grandmasters Evgenii Vasiukov and Sergey Arkhipov (Moscow), Evgeny Sveshnikov (Chelyabinsk) are among this group.

Pavel Toropov (Tatarstan) and Grigory Malyshev (Pskov) with six victories are leading in the Amateurs’ tournament. Andrey Dashko (Krasnodar region), Valentin Vlassow (Pskov), Sergei Volkov (Moscow) and Vitaly Kovalev (Tomsk) scored half a point less and follow the leaders.

The games of the Round 7 will be played on Friday, Feb 5.
